The pet pill plunger popper has worked. You have to make sure the pet does not see it to get it to work. Using this saves your fingers which often get cut when you try to administer a pill

Not impressed. It was easier to push the pill down my dogs throat. She hates it but she is able to eat the peanut butter and spit the pill out untouched. She’s like the princess and the pea. I can put one pea in with her dog food. She will lick the bowl clean and the pea will be the only thing left!
With regard to this gadget the pill holder wasn’t big enough to hold the capsule securely… maybe if the plastic were more pliable I could have secured it. But eventually you have to lower the syringe…..and the capsule falls to the floor. I suggest you chose the other brand.. I think I’m going to try the pill pockets next.

I have a cat with allergies and have been struggling to give her half a zyrtek. I tried other methods without this product. Nothing worked. My usual method for pills are just crushing (provided vet says that’s ok) and putting them in water and then giving them in a syringe as you would a liquid med. However, Lulu will just start drooling and then refuse to swallow, she’s a pain.

Anyways, I wrapped her like a burrito, used this pill syringe, and it worked on the first try. I’m trying some positive reinforcement and giving her a treat after. Hoping maybe I can stop burrito wrapping her eventually.

I followed the advice in one of the reviews, with a video showing the proper way to put on the tip. I also put a dab of butter on the outside of each pill, once it was held by the 'syringe' tip. That made it nicer for the cats, and slide down their throat without scratching from the rough pill edges. Definitely recommend. They aren't even mad at me, afterward!
